Kasey (MEd)
Kasey is a dedicated expert in EF (Executive Functioning) and SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) support, with over 10 years of experience in special education and a master's degree in Education. With a lifelong passion for, and more than 30 years of hands-on experience with horses, she has uniquely integrated her love for animals into her educational approach, believing deeply in the therapeutic and transformative power of horses.
Her career has been focused on creating innovative, alternative strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs. Kasey specializes in designing curriculum that blends developmental psychology with practical application, nurturing not only the academic growth of her students but also their social, emotional, and executive functioning development.
By fostering meaningful connections with horses, Kasey helps students build self-confidence, resilience, and trust through non-verbal communication. Her work emphasizes the value of forming strong bonds—whether with an animal or a person—as a cornerstone for personal growth and success. Through her compassionate, holistic approach, Kasey has helped countless students find their voice, build lasting skills, and thrive in environments where they once struggled.
Heather (MSOT OTR/L)
Heather is a dedicated and compassionate educator with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, and she is state licensed and NBCOT certified. With over 15 years of experience in mental health and training as a CBT and DBT educator, Heather brings a wealth of knowledge in supporting children’s growth and development.
Her journey with equine-assisted learning began when her daughter started riding lessons, where she witnessed firsthand the healing power of horses. Heather believes deeply in the ability of both nature and animals to provide a safe, engaging medium for children to learn, grow, and thrive.
When she’s not leading sessions or creating new learning opportunities, you’ll often find her spending time with the horses on the farm—especially her favorite, Razzle Dazzle (though she tries not to let the others know!).
